MyPoints review
by Samantha on Nov.23, 2009, under Reward Programs
The following is a review of www.MyPoints.com; this site is a marketing medium that allows members to earn points based on different activities. I will be discussing those activities and my thoughts on the site. I feel that it is important to note that I am a member of MyPoints; however do not receive any compensation from MyPoints for this article.
As a member, you would receive targeted marketing emails through the MyPoints system allowing you to gain points and find if you have interest in the product being offered. Emails range from points earned at 5 points to 50 points depending on the offer. The system knows which offers to send to you by the short questionnaire required for sign-up. In addition, one is able to earn points through shopping at a site, book travel, and play games.
Game play can achieve points through WorldWinner and Winster. At this writing, Worldwinner is connected to MyPoints allowing 5 points for every dollar spent. Winster is a free game play system that uses MyPoints to increase membership for their site. Winster is granting 500 MyPoints after a certain amount of play. There are also “easy points and max points” that allow additional points for either credit card or non-credit card required offers.
So, the question you are probably asking is: So what? In answer, I have been able to accrue several hundred dollars in the way of gift certificates through using MyPoints’ email system. I have not used retail to increase my point amount. I was able to earn the gift certificate through no cost to me. For that case alone I would recommend the system. In addition, the site is always changing and evolving based on the advertisers. The site is laid out very easy to read and understand. They also have special sweepstakes throughout the year (usually focusing on a holiday).
In conclusion, I would recommend MyPoints to those looking for a way to earn money online in a fun (but leisurely pace). It also allows you to see new product and get great deals from many online and traditional stores. I have found the business honest and received my gift cards in the mail in a professional manner.

Reward TV Review
by Samantha on Nov.23, 2009, under Reward Programs
Reward TV is a reward program that allows you to gain points for completing quizzes on the TV shows you watched during the day. I find the concept to be different and new, so it intrigued me to give it a try. When I first signed on I did not have cable and the area I was living did not get antenna TV either; this was not a deterrent and I could still qualify for the quizzes. I could still go online and chose a movie or TV show that I had on DVD or had seen in the past and still gain points. One can also gain points for going to the movies and quizzes on the previews for upcoming movies.
One thing that is annoying about the quizzes is that you really have to pay attention to the questions on the quiz. Sometimes the maker of the quiz does not put in the right name of the character being asked about and so you could get the wrong answer. Based on your knowledge of the shows, you earn points that can be used for rewards. Don’t worry though, if you are not good at quizzes, there are “bonus surveys” that are really easy points.
The points are then used in several ways, a bidding auction style winning, sweepstakes, and “shopping sprees”. In other words, there is no certain way to get a prize; however, I have been able to win a shopping spree. The shopping sprees are held at a certain time twice a week for different awards. One must get online and “purchase” the prize before they run out. The good news is that you do not need that many points to go on a shopping spree (you can earn the first shopping spree in your first visit by completing all of the quizzes). The auction style takes much more points; based on the amount of demand that is on the prize, they have about one month for points to be bid. There is an automated bidder so you do not have to keep watching. Of course, the sweepstakes is standard. After winning in the Shopping spree, I received the gift card as promised.
You can visit their website at: www.rewardtv.com – you can also sign up with them through read emails get paid sites (good way to get some money for signing up for something you would have signed up for anyway). I would also recommend checking on MyPoints.com to see if they are offering points to sign up.
My Coke Rewards Review
by Samantha on Nov.23, 2009, under Reward Programs
So here are my thoughts on my coke rewards. I have been a member for about a year.
For those of you who do not know what my coke rewards is… it is a loyalty program with Coke products. You would gather your points through purchase of Coke products and logging into your coke rewards account and entering the codes given on the product. The points range from 3 to 15 points per purchase. There is a maximum that you can enter into your account in one week. I have never been at the limit so I am not sure what happens.
I have checked on line and you could find people who are willing to pay a couple of cents or requesting for donations of Coke purchase redeemtion codes. I also have not done that as I felt no need. There is no expiration for the points that you have logged into your account.
Prizes range from Coke products (i.e. 20 oz soda, t-shirts) to $50 Nike gift cards. They did have some really interesting prizes in the beginning, but the amount of points needed to redeem have eliminated them from the prize bank. There was much discussion and was probably a negative to have them on their loyalty program. I have gotten about 1,000 miles through Priority rewards for my points. I found this to be the most interesting of the prizes as well as the most rewarding. After reviewing the prizes, it looks like this has recently been removed as a prize. Unfortuanatly, it was one of the main reasons I was doing the program.
As it is, if you are a big Coke fan and can be disciplined to save the rewards, you can get some “free” stuff from Coke. I figure either way you are paying for it, so you might as well bank on their loyalty program.
Happy drinking!
Big Crumbs Review
by Samantha on Nov.23, 2009, under Reward Programs
The following is a review of Big Crumbs, an online shopping reward system. Similar to how your credit cards will give you points for using their card in certain online stores. You are able to “earn” cash back on your online purchases through Big Crumbs. I feel that it is important to note that I am NOT writing this review for affiliate credits or money.
I have been a member of Big Crumbs for almost 2 years. I signed up as a Crumb Saver, in other words the highest % back on purchases. There is another level, Crumb Earner, who will earn on purchases (at a smaller %), but will earn on 5 generations down of referrals. I think you get the idea, the more people you refer the more you will earn. Important things to remember is that you can sign up as a Crumb Saver and change to Crumb Earner; however, you cannot change to a Crumb Saver from Crumb Earner. Also, if your referals aren’t going to use the online shopping – then you earn nothing. I stayed as a Crumb Saver since I knew I would use it and you get a small amount on your first line of referrals.
I really like the program since I get to earn money based on my online purchases and I have never had any problems with purchases getting credited. There is a month wait before the credit gets paid to ensure no returns this is a little longer for eBay purchases. I really like that eBay is one of the opportunities. If you have an eBay store and are serious about your store, I would recommend to sign up with them as a marketing endevour as it will increase traffic.
So, in short, if you do not mind or if you like to shop online, this would be a great way to get a “discount” paid back to you in cash! Happy shopping!
